What do you know about my daddy???

Yes, I call God my daddy. My relationship with God has to be personal. He deserves to be thought in sweet and respectful terms. There are  a lot of rumors about God and his steadfastness.  Make no mistake God does not grow tired or weary.

Isaiah 40:28-31

New International Version (NIV)

28 Do you not know?
   Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

Not only does he not grow tired he also understands in ways no one can fathom. My daddy is understanding. My daddy is a strong refugee because he does not grow weary. Yes, God is steadfast. So, in case you did not know now you know. Tell the world.... "The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth."

Commit it to memory!!! Side note: How are you doing with scripture memorization? It is a powerful thing to hide God's word in your heart.

It Ain't Over

This song is so powerful.
Keep Fighting
Keep Fasting
Keep Praying

So here is my question: Are you reading? Praying? Fasting? Fighting?
It is not over until God says it over. Remember my friends faith without works is dead.  We have to be obedient and pursue God in the midst of everything.

Friends in my backpack: John Wesley

John Wesley is a not just some old white man some folks study in seminary. He is a known as the forefather in the Methodist movement. He was a man devoted to fasting prayer and accountability in ways foreign to modern Christians.  Wendy Williams and others talk about having friends in their head. I own a extensive library and John Wesley is a great part of it. He often ends up in my bag. So, he is my friend in my backpack.
Just look at some quotes from my homie John Wesley:

“Prayer is where the action is."

“The best of it is, God is with us.”

“Vice does not lose its character by becoming fashionable.”

“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”

Answered Prayers

The last year has been a year of  growth. It seems like everything that I really wanted  seemed to crumble in my hands. I have cried more than I would like to share BUT I have learned  a lot. I have learned that God answers prayers. I prayed to be humbled( what was I thinking ?). I prayed that I would be broken so that I could be spirit owned. Apparently, when you pray for things God does not creep in your room while you are sleeping and give you certain spiritual equipping. I believe the process is a little more like you pray then give God gives you opportunities to build you humble muscle and to shatter selfishness.

Scripture Memorization

This is a my goal for lent. I have a fifty scriptures I want to memorize in context. That means I will know the verse, chapter, title of book, author and whether it is in the new or old testament.  As a part of that endeavor I will make a post about each scripture and it is importance to my identity and relationship with God.
